Radio personality Maina Kageni has announced his exit from the airwaves after an illustrious career spanning more than a decade.

During his popular morning talk show that airs daily on Classic 105 FM, Maina who has been a household name said he will hang his gloves and turn off the mic in 2022.

"Come 2022, I will be done. I will be retiring from this radio job. I plan on running a club in Miami," Maina said on Thursday, December 9.

The radio presenter further revealed that he already has a house in the United States as part of his exit plan in pursuing his business dreams and interests.

"I will be living in my condor. I bought it some time back. I thought we talked about this?" Maina said in a conversation with his longtime buddy and co-host Mwalimu Kinga'ngi alias Churchill.

According to a local publication, Maina completed his High School Education at Laiser Hill Academy in Kajiado before leaving for the US to further his education.

While in the States, Maina did not register for his college degree but worked as a truck driver and fish distributor of a Chinese firm.

When things got tough, Maina came back to Kenya where he made a name for himself in the media working as a news anchor and car dealer.
