Schools will reopen on January 4, 2021, Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) George Magoha has announced.

On Monday, Education CS Magoha said that learners will open for their second term on January 4, with the term to end on March 19, 2021.

The school reopening will be for PP1, PP2, Grade 1-3, Class Five-Seven and Form 1-3 learners.

Prof Magoha said that all four-year-olds will join PP1 in July next year.

Further, learners will take a seven-week holiday to allow for KCPE and KCSE examination and marking.

Grade 4 CBC learners will transition to Grade Five in July once schools reopen.
