M-Pesa services will be unavailable for 12 hours beginning 10pm Saturday, July 18 to 10am on Sunday, July 19, the telecommunications company has announced in a statement on Twitter.
Safaricom says the interruption will allow the firm undertake “enhancements and maintenance of our systems”.
“During the maintenance, all M-Pesa services including airtime purchase shall be temporarily unavailable,” says the telco in their Friday statement.

“The timing of this maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconvenience to our customers. We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused,” added Safaricom.
