Seven candidates have been shortlisted for election for the position of Nairobi County Assembly Speaker.
The post fell vacant after Beatrice Elachi resigned abruptly on Tuesday, August 12, citing life-threating incidences among other issues.
Nairobi MCAs are scheduled to elect a new Speaker on Friday afternoon, August 13.
