KTN news anchor Lindah Oguttu has revealed that she will be taking a break from her TV job to concentrate on her newly acquired job at the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) secretariat.

Lindah said that she has taken a sabbatical leave from the Mombasa Road-based media house to give her time to serve the FKF Secretariat.

"I have taken a sabbatical leave from The Standard Group Limited to serve the FKF Secretariat. Tukutane kwa futa (Let's meet at the football pitch)," Linda said.

Her announcement comes a month after she was appointed by the Sports CS Amina Mohamed to lead the Secretariat of a caretaker committee that is mandated to run the country's football following the disbandment of the FKF.

The committee consists of twenty individuals who will coordinate and ensure that FKF operations are smoothly run until a new body is put in place.

"The mandate of the Caretaker Committee shall comprise coordinating and ensuring the smooth running of FKF’s operations including team preparations of all local and international sporting events," the CS said in a statement.

Since CS Amina never gave the exact time when the new body will be put in place, it is not immediately clear when Lindah will return to the screens now that she has decided to concentrate on the running of the committee.
