Hearse nabbed carrying illicit brew

Meanwhile,  a hearse driver and his loader are in custody awaiting to be aligned in court after the hearse bus they were driving was nabbed transporting illicit brews in Uthiru, Kabete sub-county.

The arrest followed a tip-off from police in western Kenya region where a 59 sitter hearse was and was suspected that it had been used to transport the illicit brew when returning to Nairobi after giving its services there.

The 130 litres of brew was packed in nylon carrier bags and wrapped with clothes, while others were in a bag sandwiched between dry maize.
