A village administrator based in Muhoroni Sub-county within Kisumu reportedly beat his wife to death after suspecting that she was having an extra-marital affair.

The man, identified as Denis Okeyo who is the village administrator for Masogo-Nyang'oma area is said to have quarrelled with his wife before beating her.

Confirming the incident, Muhoroni OCPD David Maniu told K24 Digital that the matter was reported to him by one Jack Mboha the assistant chief of Kamuswa sub-location.

He said that the 36-year-old man quarrelled with his wife Lucy Aluoch, 32, after suspecting her of having a love affair with another man.

"The accused is said to have beaten the deceased brutally and when he realised that his wife was in danger and rushed her to Catholic Mission hospital in Awasi," he said.

The police boss revealed that the accused was advised to rush his wife to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching And Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) since her condition was worse and her life in danger.

On reaching (JOOTRH), Maniu said Aluoch was pronounced dead having succumbed to the injuries.

He also said that the suspect later surrendered himself to the area assistant chief.

"The suspect later surrendered himself to the area assistant chief who took him to Chemelil police post where he is assisting the police with the investigation," he said.
