Killer cop Caroline Kangogo will be laid to rest on Thursday, July 29 at her parents' home in Anin village in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

Currently, a vehicle carrying her body has left Iten County Referral Hospital morgue for her home village.

Kagongo was found dead at her parents' home two weeks ago with an autopsy conducted by Government Pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor showing that she died of a gunshot wound.

The officer who has hit news headlines since July 5, died of a bullet injury that went through the spine to the brain and skull.

However, the pathologist said that they are yet to establish the exact manner in which Kagongo died but said that this will be established once the laboratory results are out.

Her family also said that they were satisfied with the findings and that they had also engaged a private pathologist.

In addition, her father Barnaba Korir also told the media that the daughter committed suicide inside a bathroom at his home.

The cop is the main suspect in the murder of two men, a police officer John Ogweno and businessman Peter Ngegwa in Juja, Kiambu county.

It remains unclear why Kagongo ended the lives of the two men even as leaked messages from her phone revealed that they owed her money.

Last week, Kagongo’s burial which was to take place on Saturday, July 24 was postponed after the autopsy failed to take place at Iten.

The family was forced to take the body to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret where the postmortem was conducted.
