Kiambu: 108 suspected victims of human trafficking rescued, four suspects arrested

Another 108 Ethiopian aliens were rescued on Friday, February 18 by DCI detectives acting on intelligence reports.

In a statement, the sleuths managed to trace the location of the victims to a house in Kirigiti, Kiambu County.

They would later find the 108 victims aged between 13 to 35 years congested in a room.

"After securing the area and gaining access, the distraught victims aged between 13 to 35 were found crowded in one room," part of the statement read.

They also arrested four suspected affiliates of the larger human trafficking syndicate alleged to be operating across the Horn of Africa.

The four; Rosemary Nyambura Ebron,42, Daniel Jamuhuri,24, Kelvin Wambui,24, and 42-year-old Hosiman Moche are suspected to be part of the group involved in the illegal trading of human beings.

Both the victims and the suspects are currently being held at different police stations in Nairobi awaiting necessary legal procedures.
