Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe says Kenya -- as of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 -- has seven confirmed coronavirus cases.

Announcing the new cases, Kagwe said: "We have received confirmation of another three cases of coronavirus. Tests were conducted at KEMRI and National Influenza Laboratory. All these cases are imported from outside Kenya.

"Two of the three new cases are those of a couple that had travelled from Madrid, Spain on March 4, through Dubai and arrived in Kenya on March 5.

"The third case involves a Burundian national who had travelled from Dubai to Kenya, and arrived here on March 17," said the Health minister while addressing the press at Afya House.
