State House Kenya has led the country in celebrating retired President Mwai Kibaki as he turn 90 years today.
"Your Excellency, we wish you God's continued providence as you celebrate your 90th birthday today Mr. President. Happy and blessed birthday Hon. Mwai Kibaki, the 3rd President of the Republic of Kenya," State House said in a statement on Facebook.
On his part, Deputy President William Ruto celebrated Kenya's third President saying his legacy will live on.
"Happy 90th birthday the third President, Mwai Kibaki. Your legacy lives on," Ruto said.
Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka also celebrated Kibaki saying he served the nation with unparalleled dedication, a clear sense of public service and duty.
"Whatever different views people across our country have, it is clear that the vast majority share the opinion that President Mwai Kibaki served our Nation with unparalleled dedication, a clear sense of public service and duty. Happy 90th birthday Mr President," Kalonzo said.
