Police are investigating an incident where a Form Three student is alleged to have stabbed two teachers at Kisii School.

Details gathered by Mediamax Digital revealed that the student was summoned by teachers to the staffroom on Tuesday morning after turning up for morning preps late.

Eyewitnesses said that the student was ordered to kneel down and explain why he was late for morning classes.

Instead of apologizing or offering an explanation, the student attacked a teacher identified as Edwin Mokaya and stabbed him.

When another teacher intervened to save his colleague, the student also stabbed him.

The two teachers were taken to the hospital and the student arrested.

Charles Ayienda, a brother of one of the victims, told Mediamax Digital that he was informed about the incident after he had been taken to Ram Hospital.

The hospital administrator, Enock Abobo, said that one of the teachers was admitted in critical condition.

“We received two patients at 9 am and one was in a very critical condition but he is being attended to,” he said.

The critically injured teacher suffered deep cuts on the forehead, on his back, and legs while his colleague was treated and discharged.
