Fred Oloibe, the Acting Managing Director and Head of Strategy and Business Development at the Kenya Seed Company, is receiving treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret after he was involved in a road accident on Wednesday morning (June 10).

Oloibe was driving to Eldoret from Kitale, when his vehicle collided head-on with a Kitale-bound saloon that had five passengers on board. The 7am accident occurred at Maili Saba area on the Kitale-Eldoret road.

The six, who sustained injuries of varying severity, were taken to Kitale Level 4 Hospital.

After receiving emergency care, Oloibe was transferred to MTRH.

The accident was confirmed by Trans-Nzoia County Police Commander Ayub Gitonga.

The mangled wreckages of the vehicles were towed to Kitale Police Station.
