The Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) has notified commuters plying the Mbagathi Road of traffic disruption owing to construction works on the road.

In a statement released on Friday, November 5, KENHA said normal traffic operations on the busy road will be disrupted around the T-Mall Roundabout.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Mbagathi Road at the T-Mall Roundabout will experience traffic disruptions,” the statement read in part.

KENHA said the traffic disruption will happen over the weekend during which a footbridge will be erected.

“The road will be closed on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 12:00 midnight to Monday, November 8, 2021, at 12:00 midnight,” KENHA said.

According to the government authority, works on the road are designed to take place in two phases, adding that appropriate directions will be provided as detailed in the notice.

“KENHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on-site,” KENHA said.

Motorists have been urged to exercise caution and road courtesy while driving along the road for better traffic management.
