Ken Okoth’s cremation will proceed as planned on Saturday, August 3, after a court in Nairobi allowed a request to have the late MP’s DNA samples collected.

Okoth’s mother, Angeline Ajwang, and wife, Monica Okoth, had filed a request at the Milimani Law Courts on Friday, seeking to have the interment process, which had been blocked from proceeding, allowed after Okoth’s DNA samples are collected.

The late MP’s DNA samples will help establish the paternity of Okoth’s alleged son with Nairobi MCA Anne Muthoni Thumbi alias Anita.

Okoth’s alleged son, 3, will take part in the interment process, Ajwang and Monica’s lawyer, Edwin Sifuna, said.
