The Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) has advertised the position of Director General.
In a notice shared via their official website, KEMRI stated that interested candidates should submit their applications electronically with a cover letter and resume indicating their accomplishments and contact information.
KEMRI also advised candidates to log on to the Deloitte e-recruitment platform via http://apply workable.com.deloitte-east Africa.
The newly appointed director-general will be expected to report directly to the board of directors.
"If you are interested in this role, submit your application electronically including an application cover letter, resume clearly articulating your accomplishments, and contact information for at least three professional referees who can comment on your competence, character and integrity," the notice reads in parts.
The candidate who qualifies for the position will hold office for a term of three years and be eligible for reappointment for a further term of three years.
Successful candidates will receive a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the role.
Those interested have been urged to apply on or before December 15 and not later than 11.59 pm. The national body further indicated that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
"To be considered, your application must be submitted through the e-recruitment portal link and received not later than 11.59 pm, 15th December 2023," KEMRI added.
The institute which is a state corporation established pursuant to the Science Technology and Innovation Act 2013 is the national body responsible for carrying out research in human health in Kenya.
