Police in Kitui County have launched investigations after a Form Four female candidate was stabbed to death by her 27-year-old boyfriend at Kavasya market.
Eyewitnesses said trouble started when the 27-year-old man visited the KCSE candidate at her home in Kavasya and a quarrel ensued between them.

The man is said to have pulled out a knife from his pocket and stabbed the Form Four girl repeatedly until she died.
Neighbours responded to the girl's cry for help but it was too late.
The assailant, according to eyewitnesses, also tried to take his own life by stabbing himself repeatedly but the public stopped him.
He was taken to the Kitui County Referral Hospital where he is under close watch by police officers.
The girl's body was taken to a mortuary in the Kitui County's hospital.
