The Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has this afternoon released the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results of the 2021 Class.
A total of 826,807 candidates sat for the KCSE exams across the country.
The CS noted that 50.9% of the total were male while 49.1% were female.

Out of the 47 counties, 18 counties recorded more female candidates than males.
The counties which had a record of more females than males include; Taita Taveta, Machakos, Kitui, Meru, Elgeyo Markawet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Tharaka Nithi, Uasin Gishu, Laikipia, and Kisumu.
The best performing sub-county schools were;
- Nyakeore Secondary School, Nyanza.
- Kebulonik Secondary School, Rift Valley.
- Banisa Mixed Secondary School, Mandera
- Manyatta Mixed Secondary School, Eastern
- Shibanda Mixed Secondary School, Western
- Heni Secondary School, Central
- Mary Happy Day School
- Al-Farsy Girls Secondary School.
The top and best performing candidates in the various sub-county schools included:
- Anthony Njuguna Muhoro, Kiamaina Secondary School (84.364)
- Owino Eric, Akoko Secondary School (83.71)
- Karuitha Clinton, Angaini Mixed Day Secondary School (81.449)
- Achesa Alukoti, Matunda Day Secondary School (81.237)
- Diangui Frank Wagura, St. James Kiarithia Secondary School (79.4)
- Mulei Kelvin, Dandora Secondary School (79.213)
- Nkirimia Dennis Mwamburi, Coast (78.246)
- Ronald Kipkoech, Kiblabotwa Secondary School (74.9)
