A 58-year-old woman has been found murdered at her farm in Kibiko Ngong in a henious act believed to have been committed by her shamba boy.

In the 3 pm bizarre incident that left neighbors shocked, the woman who lives in Nairobi had come to check her farm as usual. She sent her husband a distress call hence raising a cause for alarm.

The husband reached out to the neighbors to check the whereabouts of his wife whom they found strangled using a rope and tied to the gardener's bed inside their incomplete bungalow.

The gardener lives in one of the rooms of the bungalow within the 8acre piece of land.

Neighbours claim to have seen the shamba boy carrying a bag en route to Ngong town.

Confirming the incident, area chief James Kariuki said the matter was reported by neighbors who entered the unfinished house following the deceased husband's call.

"It is so sad that neighbors found the woman dead. She was tied to the bed with a rope on her neck. Her clothes were intact and her car was at the parking," chief Kariuki said.

A neighbour privy to the trend of the farm owner says the deceased frequently visited the farm during the weekend as she resides in Nairobi with her family.

Shocked neighbors suspect a quarrel might have ensued between the gardener and the deceased.

The matter was reported to Ngong police station for further investigations.

The body has been moved to the Montezuma morgue.
