The state of Jubilee party is currently like that of scrap metal and it might continue to collapse, according to Garissa Town MP Aden Duale.

Duale says the party he once defended and supported in and out of parliament is suffering from the ruins of a pact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking when he accompanied Deputy President William Ruto in his Kiambu County tours, Duale said President Kenyatta betrayed him after the handshake pact, a union that saw him kicked out of his position as the Majority Leader in parliament.

He said that before the pact he was the closest friend of Kenyatta and would fight for him and his led Jubilee Party at the national and out.

‘Back then, I was the closest friend of  President Uhuru Kenyatta as I was the one who was fighting for him and the Jubilee party in and out of the National assembly. Raila came and I was kicked out of my office. The handshake destroyed our party whose current state in terms of ranks is like scrap metal,’’ Duale said.

Duale said that Odinga is playing politics of deceit and will continue to destroy Jubilee Party and those in it.

While rallying Kiambu Residents to join United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Duale said the new party will bring Kenyans together and help the suffering recoup.

On his side, Ruto said that the collapse of Jubilee party which united Kenyans forced him to start a new party that would align with the principles of Jubilee.

With Ruto were other parliamentarians and leaders from the national and county governments.
