Embattled Kisii County Deputy Governor (DG) Joash Maangi has escaped unhurt together with his driver and his aide following an accident that left two people dead.

The accident occurred on Wednesday evening, February 17, at Ololunga, Narok County on the Bomet-Narok Road.

The DG was travelling from Kisii to Nairobi when his official vehicle hit two people on a motorcycle, a rider and his pillion passenger.

Following the accident, an angry mob torched the car but Maangi and two aides escaped unhurt.
