Police in Tigoni, Limuru in Kiambu County had a difficult time clearing an accident scene Saturday after a male driver of a sport utility vehicle (SUV), which rammed into a boda boda, escaped in another vehicle.

The accident, which occurred on the Limuru-Kiambu road on Saturday morning (October 24), resulted in the death of the youthful boda boda rider.

The motorist, who escaped with visible injuries, appeared middle-aged. Shortly after the accident, the driver, called a friend on phone, who arrived at the scene in a Mercedes Benz, opened the door for the “offending” motorist, and sped off.

However, the cops managed to convince the boda boda riders into allowing them to clear the accident scene, promising to take lawful action against the driver of the Audi Q7.

The mangled wreckage of the SUV and motorbike were towed to Tigoni Police Station.
