Jowie Irungu, the main suspect in the murder of Monicah Kimani has opened up on matters relationships saying that he was not ready to mingle and was very single.

Irungu who hit news headlines following the murder of Kimani in 2019 has in the recent past found himself in trouble after detectives established that he was living in Nairobi against orders issued by the courts when he was released.

Speaking during an interview on Sauti Television which was aired live on YouTube, Irungu said that he was not ready to date anyone as it was hard to find true love in Kenya.

The interviewer asked the musician about his relationship status and he went ahead to say that he was not seeing anyone.

“What is your relationship status? Are you seeing anyone?" The host posed.

Jowie tried to ignore the question but the interviewer was on his neck despite Jowie saying that he enjoyed an awesome relationship with God.

He further explained that in the past he had lots of hope on matters relationship but things had proved different in Kenya.

“I doubt whether there is anyone in Kenya who is serious in that sector, but it also depends on the crowd you attract,” he said.

Jowie explained that currently he was not ready for any relationship but he had a group of people he was looking up to.

He said the group of people he admires and looks up to are those who go on loving despite being lied to.

“Love is a beautiful thing and if you don't make good decisions on that you will ruin everything including your kids,” he said.

According to him, things that happen in relationships in this century are so worrying and were considered an abomination in the past.

He warned that people should be very keen when engaging in relationships because they might end up ruining their lives for life.

In 2019, Jowie was allegedly dating Television personality Jacky Maribe and this led to her arrest after the man committed murder in Kilimani ending the life of Kimani.

Maribe dismissed their relationship saying that she was to be blamed after they rushed so first after just a year of dating.

Jowie after being released from prison and started doing music he got into a relationship with a lady identified as Eleanor Musangi alias Ella. However, the duo parted ways in February 2021.
