Serial killer Philip Onyancha has dismissed claims by the prosecution team that he is insane.

Onyancha is being held for allegedly committing several murders.

According to Onyancha, he has never been admitted to any mental hospital adding that the prosecution team’s argument is erroneous.

Onyancha lamented to the trial Judge Jesse Lesit that the prosecution has continuously been claiming he is mentally sick yet he is not.

"I have never been insane before or admitted to a hospital over the same, the prosecution has always been bringing it up that my insanity is unquestionable,” Onyancha said.

Onyancha's complaint came on the very day that he was acquitted of one murder charge pressed against him.

Judge Lessit set free Onyancha in the case where he was accused of killing Chepngetich Misoi in 2008 citing lack of sufficient evidence.

“All these are disheartening omissions the ones being failure to investigate a stain on the deceased door captured by the crime scene investigator, why would the police not follow this line of investigation?” judge Lessit ruled.

Onyancha had denied killing Misoi saying the woman committed suicide in her house at Mount Kenya Building in Nairobi.

He is, however, not yet free since he is facing two other counts of murder.
