News anchor and political show interviewer, Hussein Mohamed, has left Citizen Television.

Hussein leaves the TV outlet after ten years of service.

Hussein announced Friday on Twitter that his decision was triggered by a desire “to concentrate on other matters”.

“I have decided to take a break after October In Sha Allah to concentrate on other matters. Loved the fans, the critics and everything in between. See you soon,” he said.

Hussein, in his decade-long career at Citizen TV, has hosted a number of high-profile interviewees, including Deputy President William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga, among others.

Hussein began his career at the Maalim Juma-based broadcaster as a political reporter, and rose through the ranks to the position of senior news anchor.
