A man whose wife was brutally murdered before the body was dumped outside GSU Recce camp in Ruiru has broken his silence over the matter.

Joseph Ngige says he lived in harmony with Esther Wambui whom he described as a loving and hardworking wife.

Ngige who was speaking to a local media outlet recalled the last moments he shared with his wife before her brutal murder.

He said that the incident which saw the thighs and hands of his wife left with an inked message ‘mme wa mtu ni sumu’ shocked him beyond words.

The body of the lady was stashed inside a blue briefcase which was dumped at the gate of the GSU Recce squad.

According to the man who was overwhelmed with tears, he last saw her a few days before her body was recovered when he escorted her to a railway station before she headed to work.

Ngige believes that only sleuths attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) homicide wing can unravel the mystery behind her death.

“She told me goodbye and that we would see each other later. After escorting her, I went back home and prepared for work,” he said.

According to Ngige , he would always meet with his wife each day at 8 pm after she left her place of work for home.

K24 Digital has established that the deceased worked in a hotel located in Ruiru.

Ngige said that the family wants to know what really transpired and those behind the murder arrested and arraigned in court.

“I request that the police should speed up the investigations and establish what really happened,” he said.
