Hamptons Hospital's Center for Trauma and Critical Care (CTCC) at the Emergency Medicine department is fully functional and will be primarily used for COVID-19 isolation and treatment.

The emergency medicine's CCTC has a total of 40 beds for both suspected and confirmed COVID-19 cases with 10 intensive care beds with oxygen and ventilators.

Emergency Medicine department of Hamptons Hospital is divided into two separate campuses in the vast Plaza district of the Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC).

The critical care section is located in the Southern Campus infirmary and will strictly treat critically ill COVID-19 confirmed patients requiring oxygen and ventilators.

The testing of patients and suspected COVID-19 cases will be based in the Nothern campus of Hamptons Hospital.

This first class emergency medicine department of Hamptons hospital will prove critical in the entire region west of Nairobi, especially with the Nairobi metropolitan region restricted only to Nairobi residents during this COVID-19 mitigation period.

The Emergency Medicine department will in future embark on its trauma and casualty role after successfully mitigating the COVID-19 pandemic.
