The Director of Public Prosecutions has opposed move by the lawyer representing two Italian firms implicated in the Kimwarer and Arror dams scandal to take plea on behalf of the two companies.

The DPP on Monday argued that the lawyer was not a director of any of the two firms, CMC di Ravenna – Itinera JV and CMC di Ravenna - JV Kenya Branch, and thus he would not abide by the bail terms of the court.

The lawyer on the other hand said he had proper instructions to plead on behalf of the two companies.
