Grief has engulfed Nyabondo High School in Kisumu County after one student lost his life following the collapse of a pit latrine.
The incident that occurred on Monday evening also left two other students fighting for their lives.
The two were rushed to Nyabondo Mission Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.

Kisumu County Governor, Anyang' Nyong'o has sent his messages of condolence to the family, teachers and colleagues of the Nyabondo High School student who died when the latrine collapsed at the institution.
He also wished quick recovery to those injured in the tragedy.
In his statement, the county boss said the county government had dispatched rescue teams to the site who tried their best to rescue the boy who is believed to be a form one student.
"It is unfortunate that the tragedy which occurred claimed one student but I am calling for a speedy probe into the matter," he said.
