The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has ordered the prosecution of Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki over irregular awarding of Ksh35 million tender to a company identified as Westomaxx Investment Limited.
The firm allegedly received the amount to supply, install and commission a solid waste incinerator in the financial year 2018-2019.
Westomaxx Investment Limited allegedly used fraudulent documents to win the tender. Six other credible companies had expressed interest in the multi-million shilling project.
