Gmail, YouTube down in massive global outage

Google services, including Gmail and YouTube, abruptly went down on Monday, affecting thousands of users worldwide.

Other services that were hit by the worldwide outage include Google search engine and Google Maps.

Gmail users were greeted with a “Temporary Error” message while YouTube audiences and content creators were met with “Oops…Something went wrong…” message.

The Gmail message stated: “We’re sorry, but your account is temporarily unavailable. We apologise for the inconvenience and suggest trying again in a few minutes. You can view the G Suite Status Dashboard for the current status of the service.”

Users around the world were affected by the outage, according to the website health tracker Down Detector.
