Fuel prices will remain intact for the fourth consecutive month according to the latest review by Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

In a statement, the regulatory body says the retained pump prices for petroleum products will remain unchanged despite a drop in the landed cost.

Notably, in Nairobi, petrol will retail at Ksh129.72 per litre while diesel will be sold at Ksh110.60 and kerosene will retail at Ksh 103.54.

In Mombasa, the cost of fuel will be retail at Ksh127.46 for petrol, Ksh108.36 for diesel and Ksh101.29 for kerosene.

Fuel prices in Kisumu will trade at Ksh130.12, Ksh111.30 and Ksh104.26 for petrol, diesel and kerosene respectively.

The landed cost of imported Super petrol decreased by 0.86 per cent from $601.97 (Ksh68,276) per cubic metre in December to 596.79 (Sh67,825.18) in January.

However, Diesel increased by 7.11 per cent from $565.92 per cubic metre to $606.16 per cubic metre.

"The prices are inclusive of eight per cent VAT in line with provisions with the Finance Act and the revised rates of excise duty adjusted for inflation," part of the statement read.
