Frank Obegi, one of the Kasarani four murder victims, was laid to rest on Tuesday, June 28 2022 at his rural home in Bogwendo village in Nyamira County.
Obegi, Elijah Omeka, Fred Mokaya and Moses Amenya were brutally murdered and their mutilated bodies dumped in Kijabe forest and Magadi.
The four mysteriously disappeared before their bodies were found decomposing in Kiambu and Kajiado counties.
The quartet had been accused of being behind a cryptocurrency fraud mostly targeting victims outside the country, with reports indicating that just before they disappeared, they had fleeced their latest victim of Ksh1 million in bitcoin.
The bodies of Obegi, Omeka and Amenya were found in Lari while the badly mutilated body of Mokaya was discovered in Kiserian.
Mokaya reportedly disappeared soon after he went to Kasarani Police Station to report that his friends were missing.

Obegi's mother Beatrice Nyanchama was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment after she fell unconscious during her son's burial.
Nyanchama left other mourners and started running towards her son's grave site towards the end of the burial service before she fell down.
Obegi's mother tripped while running and fell down. She broke down, wailed uncontrollably and even became harsh to people who were trying to comfort her.
The heartbroken mother later lost consciousness and was carried to a waiting van which rushed her to the hospital for medical care.
Obegi's mother did not witness her son's final send-off as she was receiving treatment in the hospital.
The deceased's sister and brother also wailed uncontrollably as they witnessed his final send-off.
