Four people died on Sunday in a road accident involving an 11-seater matatu and a trailer at Nairagie Enkare escapement on the Narok-Mai Mahiu highway.
The matatu, belonging to Quick Bus Sacco, crashed into the Hino trailer on the right side at Ratili area.
Police confirmation
While confirming the incident, Narok East sub-county Deputy Police Commander Jared Marando said all the casualties were in the Matatu vehicle that was headed towards Mai Mahiu, among them the matatu driver.
"As a result of the accident, four passengers were fatally injured. Scene visited and necessary action taken. Efforts to tow the motor vehicles to the station are underway," Marando said.
Medical attention
Police arrived at the scene to help with moving the injured persons to different hospitals.
