A fast-food vendor who was atrociously attacked by her neighbouring fruit vendor has gone to court to seek justice after she sustained harmful injuries on her back and fingers.

As per the charge sheet, read out in court “Grace Kathini Kitheka attacked Sharon Cherono Tanui on October 27 at around 11:30 am along Olenguruone road opposite Kileleshwa petrol station in Nairobi County.”

Cherono who works at the same place as Kitheka (accused) has been selling chapati, smokies and eggs and on the same day, she was serving her clients when the accused person gave her death threats.

Kitheka would then grab a knife and inched it towards her prompting Cherono to run for her life but she caught up with her.

She then pounced on her and cut her on the ring and thumb finger before stabbing her back five times.

She was later rescued by members of the public who rushed her to Kenyatta National Hospital where she was admitted to undergo specialized treatment for a week.

Kiheka was taken to a police station by members of the public and was arraigned following an intense probe.

She denied charges and was granted a cash bail of Ksh70,000 pending mention on November 18.
