A man has been found guilty of incest with his 15-year-old daughter by a Loitokitok Court.

Freelance Mutua Munga was convicted by Loitokitok Resident Magistrate, Samuel Ndungu, for incest with his daughter on diverse dates between November 27, 2021, and January 2, 2022, at Isinet area in the Sub-county.

According to the pupil at Isinet Primary School, one day in the month of November 2021 her father invited her to their bedroom after sending her other siblings to butchery while her mother was at work.

The girl said her father grabbed her and attempted to defile her but she managed to escape, however, he warned that he would kill her and together with her mother if she revealed the matter.

However, on November 27, the same year, the girl told the court how the accused served her a cup of water which caused dizziness.

She went to bed only to find herself naked the following morning and the accused told her to wash.

The girl revealed the matter to Paul Gatimu, Head Teacher, Isinet Primary School, who instructed Patricia Gichuki, Guidance and Counseling teacher, to take over the matter and the girl was instructed not to tell anyone about what happened due to the threat of her father.

The matter was later reported at Loitoktok Police Station and the accused was arrested and charged with the offence.

The girl was taken to Loitoktok Sub-county Hospital where she was discovered to be pregnant.

In court Munga denied the allegations, saying he was framed by the girl and another woman, Mama Nduku, after she refused to have a relationship with her.

However, the court found evidence that Gatimu, Gichuki and the girl corroborated well and hence prosecution had proved the case beyond reasonable doubt.

The accused’s case will be determined on December 7.
