A family in Karen, Nairobi is desperately searching for their 20-year-old kin who went missing on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

The family of Precious Musimbi, a young lady who was pursuing Law at the Kenya School of Law (KSL), is appealing to the masses to inform them of the whereabouts of their daughter.

According to the family, Musimbi went missing after requesting her aunt, Violet Mavisi to allow her to visit her friends.

Mavisi, while speaking to a local publication, noted that she has been living with her niece for years. She stated that she had called Musimbi to confirm whether she was okay after she was silent for hours.

However, she was unable to reach her since her mobile phone had been switched off. Continuous efforts by family members to reach Musimbi have been in vain to date.

According to Mavisi, this is not normal since Musimbi would always ask permission to leave the house and always return home.

"I have never stopped her from going out with friends because whenever she wanted to she could ask for permission and we always allowed her to go," Mavisi stated.

"All I'm requesting is that anyone who knows the whereabouts of my niece informs me so that my heart and mind can settle. For now, it is difficult for us as a family because we don't know where she is," her aunt added.

On his part, David Mavisi, Musimbi's cousin reported that the young lady was last spotted in the company of an unknown man.

When they confronted him about their kin's whereabouts he switched off his phone.

"This is very unfortunate because when we were told that she was in the company of some man we called him and when we asked him about her, he switched off his phone," Mavisi added.

So far, the family has filed a missing person report under the OB number 12/1/07/2023.
