Employers urged to release employees to vote

The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) has urged employers to release employees on Tuesday, August 9 general election.

In a letter to employers, FKE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jacqueline Mugo said every Kenyan citizen has a right to vote.

"Every adult Kenyan citizen has the right and obligation to choose the next team of political leaders to drive Kenya's development," Mugo said in a letter dated August 7.

Some 22,120,458 Kenyans are expected to vote tomorrow in 46,232 polling stations countrywide.

They will elect individuals in six positions that include President, Governors, Senators, Members of Parliament, Woman Representative, and Members of the County Assembly.
