Egyptian stabbed eight times after fight over debt

An Egyptian died while receiving treatment at Coptic Hospital after he was stabbed while asking for a debt from his Kenyan friend.

The 25-year-old deceased was identified as Ayman Elsaid and his friend Victor Nanua are said to have approached a man identified as Stephen Kimani who had gone to the apartment in Jamhuri estate, Nairobi where they lived on the sixth floor to visit a lady identified as Sabina Nyangweso.

According to a police report seen by K24 Digital, Ayman and his friend Victor Nanua approached Stephen Kimani (suspect) in his girlfriend's house in Jamhuri Estate and requested him to pay a debt that he owed them.

Kimani got furious and got a kitchen knife which he stabbed Ayman with eight times.

He then stabbed Victor in the right thigh before he turned the knife on himself and slit his throat.

“Ayman and Victor approached him and requested him to pay the debt which he owed them. He got angry and went to the kitchen and stabbed Ayman eight times and Victor on the right thigh before turning the knife against himself and slitting his throat,” the police report read in part.

Egyptian dies at Coptic Hospital

Ayman and Victor were rushed to Coptic Hospital where Ayman died while receiving treatment.

Victor was taken to the Nairobi Women’s Hospital where he is admitted in critical condition.

This comes two months after two police officers were arrested for attempting to rob an Egyptian national of his money and wares.

The two grabbed his Ksh100000 and accused him of being in the country illegally after detaining him.
