Members of Parliament were treated to a spectacle during the Thursday, May 13 sitting after Gatudnu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria was brought to task over the bribery allegations he made against his colleagues.

Kuria through his Social Media handle claimed the legislators from the lower house were bribed with Ksh 100,000 to vote in favor of the constitution bill, BBI.

Homabay MP Gladys Wanga rising on a point of order asked whether Kuria was in order to abuse MPs and refer to a ruling made by Speaker Justin Muturi as an error in Judgement. .

"Mr Speaker is he (Kuria) in order to be condescending to us the total membership of the house and also to be condescending to you to term rulings you've made on the floor of this house as errors in judgement.

I call on you Hon Speaker to declare the member out of order and the member should go straight to the matter raised on the floor of this house which is that he claimed members received bribes of Ksh 100,000 to vote yes," Wanga submitted before calling on the Speaker to find Kuria out of order.

Also asking if Kuria was in order was Hon Mwale who argued that the MP insulted fellow colleagues. "I'm usually very patient but my patience run out when I heard Hon Kuria ask you to protect him from cows.

Hon Speaker are there cows here or Kuria was referring to members as cows because he asked you to protect him from cows Mr Speaker," the member poised before Speaker Muturi asked Kuria to respond.

"Hon Kuria, Did you refer to honorable members as cows and or livestock?" Muturi asked as Kuria fired back.

"Mr Speaker it is on record in this house that some people have referred to themselves as cows," Kuria shot back attracting a sharp response from the Speaker.

"Hon Kuria did you or did you not refer to members of Parliament as cows and or livestock? Should we get the Hansard?" Kuria's hide and seek games with the Speaker was however cut short when he responded by apologizing and withdrawing the statement made.

"Yes I did declare members as Livestock but I withdraw and apologies," Kuria responded.
