Blogger and Deputy President William Ruto’s Digital Media Strategist Dennis Itumbi has been arrested.

While K24 Digital has established that Itumbi was arrested as he was walking out of a barbershop in Thindigua, Kiambu County, the reason for his arrest remains unclear.

Details given to this reporter by a sleuth attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reveal that he was nabbed and taken to Parklands Police Station.

“He was arrested and he is currently being grilled at Parklands police station,” the officer who spoke in confidence as he is not authorized to speak to the media told K24 Digital.

However, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) communication boss Wanjohi Githae and Itumbi's brother David insist that the DP Ruto's ally has been abducted by unknown men.

“Dennis Itumbi abducted/Kidnapped by three men at Thindigua as he left a barbershop. Number plate KBL 455S,” Githae said.

"They have just abducted my bro Dennis Itumbi in a 'thuggish' way", part of David Itumbi's tweet read.
