Kirinyaga County Jubilee Party Chairman Muriithi Kang'ara has said that Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto should receive the holy communion if they meet at the statehouse in a bid to make peace.

Kang'ara has now urged the clergy seeking to initiate a truce between the two, to ensure they take sacraments.

"Our President is a Catholic and the Deputy is a saved man, they should therefore partake the holy communion when they meet in Statehouse to bury the hatchet," he said.

He noted that a truce between the two leaders would strengthen the unity of Kenyans further.

"There is a need to unite the two and the Catholic Bishops should make haste," he added.

Additionally, Kang'ara noted that once the two have united, the clergy should then focus on bringing together all the leaders.

"All leaders should be united as the nation gears up for next year's general election," he said.
