Mwomboko artiste Lawrence Njuguna alias DJ Fatxo now says Jeff Mwathi was reported missing prior to his demise.

Mwathi, who was an interior decorator, died after allegedly falling off from Fatxo's Redwood apartment on the 10th floor along Thika road after partying together.

Fatxo while speaking in a presser shared by Youtuber Nicholas Kioko, explains that while he had gone with him to his house after a night out, he left with three other women but upon his return, Jeff Mwathi was missing.

He slept briefly and in the morning he was still missing which prompted them to report the matter to the police station before he reportedly found his body.

"Keep on praying for me, this thing is hard but we will emerge victorious. It was I who reported the matter to the police station. I went to my house with Jeff and then left with three ladies but he was not there upon my return. I am the one who told the police Jeff is missing," he stated.

He maintains after learning about his death, he contacted Jeff's family and even had to pass some of the information through his mother.

"I reached out to his family and informed them about Jeff's death. I told them that I would support his burial but I did not get the response I needed. This prompted me to involve my mother," he said.

DJ Fatxo's sentiments, however, contradict the information shared by authorities and the scenes captured via CCTV in his apartment.

Mwathi's death

Mwathi allegedly died after falling off from DJ Fatxo's 10th-floor apartment at Kasarani, Nairobi.

Mwathi, an interior decorator, had visited the DJ's house to deliver some interior decor materials for his home and office.

A police statement recorded by the DJ revealed that the two had been together in four different clubs.

They started partying at Bliss Bistro and ended at Quiver's Lounge.

According to footage released by the apartment's management, Mwathi, and the DJ returned to the apartment at 3 am on February 22 accompanied by three unidentified women.

Later, another man believed to be a relative of the DJ arrived in a different car.

An hour later, DJ Fatxo left the apartment with the three unidentified women leaving the victim in the house with two other men

Shortly after, the two men are seen inspecting the apartment's parking lot. Within the same period, the DJ's cousin is seen making several phone calls before heading back inside.

Shockingly, seven minutes after Mwathi is seen falling off the building. His uncle told police that the victim was found dead with his pants pulled to his knees.

A post morterm conducted at the City Mortuary was unable to reveal if the victim had been sexually assaulted before he met his untimely death.

The two men together with DJ Fatxo told police that the deceased took away his life.

The duo claimed that they only knew of his death when the DJ returned to the apartment.

His family on the other hand brushed off the claims. His mother who works in Qatar noted that her son had asked for money to attend a meeting in Ruiru. She noted that her son has never been suicidal.

She revealed a Whatsapp audio corroborating her statement.

"Mum aki si unitumie 200 sahii DJ Fatxo amenichatisha ameniambia tumeet na sina doh, nangoja doh jioni," Mwathi said.

"Sawa mum, acha niende, nakaa smart nitaenda kupiga picha na yeye tukipatana nitakupigia picha uone," he added.

The family has called on the police to speed up investigations and bring justice to their son.
