Details of Siaya man who died of Covid-19 revealed

Police have released the details of the man who died of coronavirus in Siaya County on Friday, April 10.

The Kenya Ports Authority worker had travelled from Mombasa to Siaya County with his wife and two daughters on April 5.

The family spent the night in Nairobi on April 5, according to the police report.

Thereafter, they continued with their journey and the deceased was involved in a non-injury accident at Awasi market on April 6. He spent the night at Kisumu.

On April 7, the man arrived at Ukwala using his brother's vehicle and remained indoors.

Three days later, on April 10, the man developed a cough and was taken to Matibabu Foundation Private Hospital where he was pronounced dead on the same day, nine hours after he was admitted.

Blood samples were taken and sent to Kemri Kisumu where they were confirmed positive for coronavirus.
