Joash Maangi, the Kisii deputy governor, has been summoned to record a statement at the Kisii Central Police Station for allegedly assaulting one of his domestic servants.
Mr. Maangi went to record the statement on Tuesday morning accompanied by his lawyer, Silvanus Osoro.
The deputy governor had been ordered to appear before the Kisii Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations officer at 10 am.
