Self-proclaimed Hustler nation spokesman Dennis Itumbi has finally been found after reports of his alleged abduction rocked social media.

The blogger was however found badly injured and has since been admitted to an unnamed hospital. Pictures doing rounds online show the heavily bandaged Itumbi lying on a hospital bed.

Politicians allied to Ruto's UDA party have blamed Itumbi's torture on his alleged abductors, whom they claim are officers of the National Police Service.

"Glad to see our brother Itumbi alive. Sad to see him in such pain. Hopeful that he will bounce back stronger. Appalled that Police officers who should be protecting him harmed him. May his tormentors who are enjoying power never know peace. Politics shouldn’t be done this way," Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen tweeted.

Itumbi's brother, David Itumbi, stated that the blogger revealed to them that he was arrested and later tortured by police officers.

"My brother has been badly beaten. We thank God that he is alive. On his own account he was arrested by police and beaten and tortured. This is the state we found him in. (See pictures) Please pray for his recovery. Asanteni for your many prayers and support," he tweeted.

Earlier reports had indicated that Itumbi was kidnapped by three men as he made his way out of a barbershop in Thindigua, Kiambu Road.

His lawyers and family members camped at the Parklands Police Station, where he was believed to have been taken after his arrest.

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei however confirmed yesterday that the OCS at the Parklands Police Station denied holding Itumbi.

"Together with the family of Dennis Itumbi & his lawyers have visited Parklands Police station to confirm his whereabouts but OCS have denied holding him there. State-sponsored abductions MUST stop because of political machinations and intimidation," Cherargei tweeted.
