The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has said it will issue investigations updates in Swahili.

In a Thursday, October 7 statement seen by K24 Digital, DCI said the decision is to ensure every Kenyan is informed of daily crime briefings.

"In order to ensure that we effectively communicate with our audience from all corners of the country, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has officially introduced Swahili versions to our daily briefings on crime," DCI said in a statement.

DCI further stated that increased public demand and the need to meet the expectations of Kenyans necessitated the addition of Swahili in its official language of communication.

"In this regard, every English post shall be followed by a Swahili version of the same," DCI said in the statement.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations greatly values your feedback and continued support since crime management is our collective responsibility.
