Former Kenya Air Force soldier-turned-gospel musician, Danger Chacha, is dead.

Danger Chacha, whose real name is Daniel Chacha, succumbed to liver cancer on Friday morning (August 30) at Hema Hospital in Kisii, his family says.

Danger Chacha had been in hospital for two weeks.

The gospel minister was being treated for stomach ulcers until recently when he tested positive for liver cancer.

The ex-soldier’s wife told K24 Digital that the cancer, which had advanced to Stage Four, had spread to 80 per cent of his liver.

Danger Chacha, who was also the founder of Jesus Army Evangelistic Ministries, has died aged 54.

Chacha, in a recent website profile, said he ministers in Kehancha and Ikerege in Migori County.

Danger Chacha, who was the first born in his family, was born in 1965 in Nyabokarangi Village in Kuria West, Migori County.

His childhood challenges and the dangers he was exposed to earned him the nickname ‘Danger’.

Despite the troubled childhood, he excelled when he joined Armed Forces School of Higher Education.
