A sombre mood has engulfed a family in Embu after two brothers who were allegedly arrested past curfew hours were found dead.

The two, Benson Njiru Ndwiga ,22, and Emmanuel Mutura Ndwiga,19, who have been missing since Sunday last week were found lying in Embu mortuary.

According to the family, the two were allegedly arrested by officers from Manyatta police station Kianjokoma shopping centre.

Benson Njiru was a student at Kabarak University while his brother Emmanuel Mutura was a student in Don Bosco Technology Training Institute Karen in Nairobi.

The two have been running pork business in the said shopping centre in Embu East sub- county in Embu county.

Their parents, John Ndwiga Kamunyuti and Catherine Wawira are now accusing the officers of murdering their kids and are now hiding the information.

However, Embu East OCPD Emily Garuiya has denied the claims saying that the boys might have jumped out of a moving police vehicle.

Garuiya says they have already opened an inquiry file to investigate more about the death of the said boys with the bodies now awaiting postmortem.
