COVID-19: 137 new cases confirmed

The number of Covid-19 cases in Kenya on Sunday rose to 3,594 after 137 more people tested positive in the last 24 hours.

Speaking in Nyeri County during the daily briefings on the coronavirus pandemic, Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mutahi Kagwe said the new cases were confirmed from 3,167 samples.

Overall, the Ministry of Health has tested 115,336 samples.

The Health CS urged Kenyans to continue observing regulations issued by the government on Covid-19 containment.

He said keeping social distancing and wearing masks while in public spaces remain key to containing the spread of the virus.
